In my last post, I highlighted some important things to remember that might put someone at risk for heart disease as well as things we can all do to prevent heart disease. Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a heart attack. About 1 in 4 people in the United States dies from heart disease each year. Worse yet, approximately 18 million adults who are 20 years of age or older have coronary artery disease. These numbers are so high! That’s why it’s so important to take healthy measures to protect yourself against its risk factors.
