March is nearly over which means a new Cause of the Month is here! This April is dedicated to a brand new cause that’s very important to me: infertility. I’ve been going through my own journey of trying to get pregnant for the last two years. Not many people know about my story, including most of my friends. I'm finally ready to share my own personal story because infertility is not talked about enough. Not to mention that we're very undereducated about fertility and our bodies in general. Keep reading to hear my story!
I’ve complied the ultimate social good gift guide so you can find the perfect gift that will not only put a smile on your face & the person you give it to, but it will also give life saving resources in the form of disease research funding, clean drinking water, protecting animals, helping kids, fair wage employment, rehabilitating the homeless, or education. Here are 8 gifts that give back so you can do twice the giving without spending twice as much!
As I began to lay the foundations for Revive, I knew one of the most important aspects of my mission would be to choose charity partners that were truly committed to giving the highest percentage of their dollars collected back to finding a cure and helping patients and their families. Through lots of research, I came across Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA) and found that this organization was one I’d be honored to work with. They are committed to raising money to fund all the aspects that go along with a lung cancer diagnosis, from prevention to treatment and even helping families of patients.
Attending Mega Miracle Day with Children's Hospital Los Angeles was such an incredible way to start our March fundraiser for Make March Matter! The event's superhero theme was highlighted by the amazing patient stories shared. Amongst these was Fierce Pierce, a 2 year old boy who was treated by CHLA for Leukemia. Pierce was recently found to be strong enough to return home with his family.
I want to change what happens when someone gets lung cancer or breast cancer, or any disease. We can do this, together, by donating to these causes and helping them find cures to help all the people of the world, their families and friends. This is my dream, and I'm trying to make it come true.
