Cure Alzheimer's Fund

Cure Alzheimer's Fund was established to fund targeted research with the highest probability of slowing, stopping or reversing Alzheimer's disease through venture based philanthropy. All organizational expenses are paid for by the Founders and Board, allowing all other contributions to be applied directly to Alzheimer's Disease research. Our foundational research is focused on identifying all the genes and gene mutations that are linked to Alzheimer's Disease. We can then use this genetic information to reliably predict, early in life, those at greatest risk for the disease (with legal safeguards and genetic and psychological counseling). Our foundational research projects include: Alzheimer's Genome Project, Alzheimer's Genome Map, Alzheimer's Brain-Genetic Study, Alzheimer's Clinical-Genetic Study, Alzheimer's Gene Database, MicroRNA's and APP, and Alzheimer's Gene Discovery Project.

The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation was created in 1971 by a small group of parents of children with diabetes - parents committed to finding a cure for this devastating disease. Driven by hope and fueled by the need to end their children's suffering, they banded together to support a promising research program at the University of Miami solely aimed at curing those living with diabetes. From providing the vital seed funding necessary to pursue innovative ideas, to bringing promising discoveries to patients now living with diabetes, the Foundation is a key to enabling the Diabetes Research Institute scientists to accelerate research.

It took 5 days & a whole lot of tests to finally hear, Zack has lupus.

Lupus Research Alliance

The Alliance for Lupus research is dedicated to finding a cure for lupus. We believe in doing one thing, and doing it well. Founded in 1999, our sole mission is to prevent, treat and cure lupus through medical research. The Alliance applies a strategic business approach to funding research. In 2000 and 2001 we asked scientists to submit proposals to identify targets for new therapies in lupus. These proposals needed to be ideas that would lead to the development of new drugs or biologic agents to treat lupus within two years. And because we want to fund the best research, wherever that may be, we accepted applications from all over the world, and from industry, as well as academia.
