Alzheimer's Can Be Inspiring-Revive Jewelry

Alzheimer's Can Be Inspiring

When I started my company, I wanted to help as many causes as possible with the resources I had. I know that every cause is worthy, but it isn't possible to cover them all. Maybe someday…

So, I set out to choose the most important causes. I decided to write out a list of all the diseases that had affected my life. Surprisingly, the list got a lot longer than I’d imagined.

Topping my list was Lung Cancer and Lupus, for my grandpa Mike and brother Zack. But right below those two was Alzheimer’s Disease. I don’t talk about it very much, but my great grandpa, Phil, & my grandma, Lorraine, both had Alzheimer’s.

When I got to see them, it made me very sad that they didn’t know who I was. Or remember small things, like what they had just been doing.

One of the last times I saw my grandpa Phil, we were all eating lunch on the patio. He must've asked my aunt twenty times if the shake in front of him was his, because he couldn't remember.

Pin it for Later

I wanted to help my grandparents then, but I felt useless. It seemed like there was nothing I could do to fix it. I wasn’t even an adult yet.

I know this is a pretty common feeling and there’s a lot of people and families that are affected by Alzheimer’s.

But what I didn’t realize, until years later, is that there is something I can do. I can sell my jewelry to raise money to help cure Alzheimer’s.

Jewelry for Alzheimer's awareness that gives back

In honor of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month in June, I’m releasing four new Alzheimer’s Research pieces. All of these are inspired by Grandpa Phil & Grandma Lorraine.

There’s a lot of work to be done, but if we work together, we won’t have to watch our elders suffer, or suffer right alongside them.

If you would like to help support Alzheimer’s research, click here to shop our full collection.

Do you have a story about an Alzheimer’s experience? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
