How do you care for the jewelry?
To keep your jewelry looking like new store it in a dry, enclosed space. A zipper bag is a great way to keep outside air from tarnishing your jewelry.
Always take your jewelry off before going near water, including swimming, showering or even exercising. Make sure to apply all lotions and perfumes before putting on your jewelry.
For Sterling Silver:
Clean with a dry polishing cloth. Some silver cleaners may be used if a cloth doesn’t work, but always take care not to submerge stones.
For 14k Gold Filled:
Clean with a dry polishing cloth. If a cloth doesn’t work, you can use a mild soap and water combination with a toothbrush to remove tarnish. Take care not to damage any stones.
What metal do you use?
All of our designs are made of sterling silver and 14k gold filled components. Some of the pendants are plated in 14k gold. All of our jewelry is hypoallergenic, so you won’t find any nickel, copper or lead here!
What are the pendants made of?
Everything is created for you by me using unique cell image pendants paired with semi-precious stones, sterling silver & 14k gold filled metals and jewelry tools, like pliers & even a torch for my soldered pieces. Here’s how the process works:
I use cell images to create my pendants in 2 different ways. For the first, I select an interesting portion of the image, cut it out and set it in a bezel under resin. In the second process, I use the same cell image and digitally draw on top of it with special software to create a 3D model that is then cast in metal. Once I have the castings or resin image pendants completed, I design and build the pieces around them by adding in semi-precious stones, crystals and chains.

Where does the donation go?
That depends on the piece you purchase. Each cause has a unique charity partner that is dedicated to finding cures, better treatments, and providing patient education & support for that specific cause. You’ll find information about which charity your donation is going to in the description of each piece. You can read more information on all of our charity partners here.
How do you find your charity partners?
Transparency in non-profits is required by law and allows us to see where their funds are allocated. We use charity navigator, which is a website that aggregates all the public information charities must provide the public in to an easy to digest charity profile. We use this information to choose the charities that devote most of their funding back to research, programs and support for patients. If you’d like to check it out for yourself, here’s the link: https://www.charitynavigator.org/
Where do your images come from?
All of our cell images are common use files sourced from reputable sources such as scientific journals and researchers.
How did you come up with this idea?
I first started using cell images as the basis of my designs in college. I needed inspiration for a project and stumbled across a microscopic image of the H1N1 virus. I used the disease’s outline to create a brooch that gained rave reviews & I was hooked on this concept.
While I was in college my brother was diagnosed with Lupus- an incredibly painful, auto-immune disease with no known cause or cure.
Shortly after that, my grandpa, who was like a father to me, was diagnosed with stage IV Lung Cancer. He passed away within a month.
I was left feeling empty and powerless, I wanted to heal them, myself and my family. But what could I do- I’m just one person. And then, a light bulb went on; If we all get together, to rally behind this cause, we can start a movement toward positive change for the future. A movement that uses these diseases to take our power back from them and raise money for research toward a cure.
My pieces are more than just jewelry; they’re hope, strength, awareness, charity & cures. 10% of every purchase goes straight to research for cures.
